What I’ve Learned in My First 30 Days as a Brand Owner

What I’ve Learned in My First 30 Days as a Brand Owner

In my first 30 days of launching  PutOnSomeLipstick 💄, I’ve learned more about myself, business, and women than I ever expected.

I launched this brand because I truly believe in what it stands for — that something as simple as putting on lipstick, wearing a powerful tee, or receiving an encouraging message can shift how a woman feels about herself. It’s a small thing… that can change everything.

I’ll be honest — my expectations were high. Maybe a little too high. I thought passion would equal immediate sales, and that belief alone would carry it. But I quickly realized that believing in your brand is just the beginning.

I’ve been learning how to build a real marketing plan — figuring out the where, when, why, and how to show up online and connect with women who need this message. Visibility doesn’t happen by accident; it happens with strategy, consistency, and heart.

The biggest challenge? Creating and keeping a customer base. It’s not just about a one-time purchase — it’s about building a community. One woman at a time.

There have been highs — like seeing my first customer light up. And there have been lows — like days with zero traffic and doubts creeping in. But every step has taught me something.

This is just the beginning. I’m still learning. Still growing. Still showing up.

Because I know this brand was made to reach women who need a reminder:

You’re still her. 💄
